Display
In line with the high-definition, bazeless, and flexible trends of display, PI Film and Varnish are used as OLED seprator (PSPI), flexible OLED substrates and CoF (Chip on Film) of display.
PI film has been adopted in CoF as a substrate on which Display Driver IC (DDI) is directly mounted, which functions as a connector between display panel and FPCB. The DDI chip mounted on PI film can be easily bent or folded, which allows for flexible system design and reduction of thickness and size of electronic devices. It has been playing an important role in minimizing the bezel thickness in display panels to make bezel-less displays possible.
Photosensitive PI for OLED application is used as a pixel separation layer.
PI film is used as a substrate in flexible OLED display, replacing traditional glass.
