Having been originally developed for space missions, PI film is not only still being used in the aerospace industry
today, but its application is expanding into a variety of industries including flexible solar cells and rechargeable
batteries.
PI varnish is used in optical fiber for telecommunication, visual transmission and detection applications. PI varnish is
also being used to produce plane surface heater that delivers heated air into space with uniform temperature
distribution and minimal heat loss.
PI powder has been adopted in a wide range of industries for numerous applications including diamond wheels, sealing,
thermal and electrical insulation of plasma touch in the shipbuilding industry.
PI varnish is applied to optical fiber to enhance heat resistance to the meet the challenging operating requirements in specialty industries such as healthcare and oil & gas.
For its excellent mechanical properties and low grindability, PI resin is used in diamond wheels to improve the grinding performance of brittle materials in high temperature and high abrasion environments.
